The brightest stars in law came together at the Liberty Grand in Toronto to see the winners crowned, celebrate their peers, inspire one another, and party late into the evening. The winners represent the highest standards in the legal sector, and the awards provided a platform to showcase their exceptional work and achievements. Winners were selected after an intensive process. Lawyers from across Canada nominated other lawyers, legal teams, law firms, deals, cases, and initiatives. The Canadian Law Awards team combed through the nominations, drawing on industry knowledge gained through Lexpert and Canadian Lawyer to identify the standouts. Those chosen comprised the Excellence Awardees. The Canadian Law Awards official ballot accountants, PwC, verified the nomination process. The Canadian Law Awards' distinguished panel of independent judges dedicated their time to assessing the Excellence Awardee submissions against the criteria for each applicable category. The votes of these eminent experts were tallied to determine the winners of each category announced at the awards.
