A MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR After Lexpert and Canadian Lawyer celebrated excellence across the legal profession at this year's Canadian Law Awards, it is worth reflecting on how much has shifted over the past year. From continued global uncertainty to evolving regulatory landscapes and rising expectations of accountability, Canada's legal community has been navigating a period defined by complexity and constant change. Across firms, in-house teams, and institutions, the work has only become more critical. These conditions have deepened our respect for the role the legal profession plays in shaping business, policy, and society. On May 5, we came together once again to recognize the individuals, deals, cases, initiatives, law firms, and in-house departments setting the standard for what leadership in law looks like today.
