With a broad practice in civil and com-
mercial litigation and regulatory offence
work, John Callaghan's courtroom practice
includes more than one hundred reported
cases from all levels of court as well as a sig-
nificant amount of arbitration work. He
has acted for the Province of Ontario in the
Walkerton Inquiry and the Cornwall Police
in the Cornwall Inquiry. As a member of
the Ontario Civil Rules Committee since
1994, Callaghan has been involved in or
overseen every major rule change in Ontario
for almost 25 years. In conjunction with
the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Cal-
laghan organizes the Callaghan Moot at the
University of Toronto. He is a Co-author of
Class Action Law and Practice.
Cindy Clarke

Cindy Clarke defends hospitals and other
health organizations in medical malprac-
tice actions on behalf of Healthcare Insur-
ance Reciprocal of Canada, and represents
health and service organizations in court
and before administrative tribunals. She
is the National Group Head of BLG's Spe-
cialized Litigation Group, which encom-
passes five of the firm's leading national
litigation groups, and she sits on the firm's
National Management Committee and
Innovation Steering Committee. Clarke
co-authored Law for Canadian Health-
care Administrators and she is an Adjunct
Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School,
where she teaches the Master's in Health
Law program and developed a Health Law
Certificate program for the school's profes-
sional development program.
