Finally, we must address the deficits in lawyer e-discovery education, and vendor encroachment into this area. Much of the e-discovery education available is underwritten and funded by vendors. Often, it is product-centric. For buyers who have been educated by the sellers of products and services, it can be chal- lenging to remain untainted by accusations of influence peddling. Nothing highlights this more than developments in the U.S. Da Silva Moore v. Publicis Groupe case (under appeal at the time of writing). However, the plaintiffs are now objecting to the judge' that he was improperly influenced by the vendor used by defend- ants.
