Federation of Law Societies of Canada 2012 National Family Law Program Halifax Marriott Harbourfront, Halifax, Nova Scotia July 16 to 19, 2012 (Opening Reception & Conference Offi ce opens July 15) Th is program is accredited for MCLE in British Columbia Th e program will be submitted for accreditation in all MCLE jurisdictions • Th e conference offi ce will open in the Conference Centre at the Harbourfront Marriott Hotel Sunday July 15 at 1:00 p.m. and remain open until the end of the evening reception. • Th e program will end at 12:00 on Th ursday July 19th. Th e "early bird" registration fee is $750 plus applicable taxes. After April 30th 2012, the full registration will be $850 plus applicable taxes. Th e "early bird" registration fee for those in practice less than 5 years is $550.00 plus applicable taxes. After April 30th 2012, the registration for those in practice less than 5 years will be $650 plus applicable taxes. Payment is required with registration. Th ere is a new convenient on line method of payment on the Federation of Law Societies website. THINGS TO DO AND SEE Halifax has many cultural attractions including the museums, concerts and festivals. Th e city also off ers an abundance of recreational activities such as golf. Great shops and restaurants are a few steps away from the hotel. Th ere is a wide variety of activities to interest everyone. Th e Tall Ships are scheduled to be on display in July and there is also a Jazz Festival pre conference to enjoy. Registrants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements. Special rates have been negotiated at the Marriott Harbourfront from $189.00 single or double. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
