Each year, the Law Foundation of Ontario awards
millions of dollars it receives from the interest on
mixed trust accounts and cy-près awards to many
carefully selected grantees, including both new
and long-standing partners. Through the work of
our grantees, and through funds paid to Legal Aid
Ontario, the LFO advances its vision for a truly
accessible justice system. Since its creation in 1974,
the LFO has given out over $230 million in grants
and over $675 million to Legal Aid Ontario.
The LFO is proud to act as a Presenting Partner for
Flip Your Wig for Justice. This innovative initiative
by some of the Foundation's leading partners is a
fine example of how we must all work together to
increase access to justice for the people of Ontario.
