But that is exactly what happened recently to 80-year-old Bob Hannay, the last living eyewitness to the rescue of Cecil George Harris. During the hearing for the will, the fender on which it was scratched was removed from the tractor and admitted as an exhibit before the old Saskatchewan Surrogate Court. After finding the will valid, the court ordered it be cut from the fender and included in the record along with other papers. In 1997, when the Kerrobert Court House closed, it was arranged that the extraordinary will should be transferred to a display case in the library at the University of Saskatchewan's College of Law in Saskatoon. There it has remained a curiosity and a teaching tool ever since. To mark the will's 65th anniversary, the college invited students, lawyers, and the public along to a celebration featuring Bob Hannay.
