Don't worry, I'm not going to bore you with that journey; but as I complete five years of writing the Legal Innovation Now column for this publication, it seemed like a good time to review how far legal KM has come in that time and, indeed, what lies ahead. The first week of February always finds me in New York with other senior KM and innovation leaders. The Strategic Knowl- edge and Innovation Legal Leaders' Summit (SKILLS) is an invaluable, one-day confer- ence for about 65 senior knowledge man- agement professionals from large law firms in the U.S., U.K. and Canada. Each year, the Summit takes the temperature of current KM and innovation priorities through a survey of attendees, asking about our plans for the upcoming year, what consumed our time in the past year and topics we'd like to discuss or learn more about. The results are always enlightening for the wider industry. For 2020, they can be found in this Ron Friedmann blog. He includes a list of "traditional" and "new" KM activities in his blog post and provides insight into this legal KM journey over the years.
