The second annual Canadian Law Awards are coming soon — and there's a shortlist of stellar Excellence Awardees vying for the big prizes FOLLOWING A year like no other, the time is right to recognize the lawyers, firms, in-house teams, dealmakers and legal professionals who have thrived despite such difficult times. It's never been more important to celebrate the great achievements of those who make the legal profession great — to hopefully inspire us all to continue working hard, keep connected as a profession and most importantly rebound from a period of massive upheaval. The Canadian Law Awards team received an incredible response to the nationwide call for nominations. They would like to extend a massive "thank you" to those who submitted, as well as to the esteemed judges who will review the nomination materials related to each Excellence Awardee, in order to ultimately determine the Gold Winners in each category. New this year, we are also delighted to announce that PwC Canada will verify the voting process and validate the results, further solidifying the Awards as the premier recognition in the legal profession. Gold Winners will be revealed at our virtual awards show on May 20, 2021, hosted by CBC News anchor Suhana Meharchand. In the days leading up to the virtual awards show we will also be unveiling exclusive panels in which some of the awardees will be sharing their insights and best practices.
